Anti-Semitism

I'm not here to attack or defend Mel Gibson -- either his movie or his recent antics.

But I am here to say that I deeply suspicious of those in Hollywood and the press who decry Gibson's supposed "anti-semitism." These same people would have Israel wiped off the map tomorrow if it would allow them to preen about their having helped solve "the Palestinian problem," or if it would make the current administration look bad.

In other words, they don't really care about the "semites." Their "semiticism" is strictly one of convenience.
